“Labour should acknowledge and welcome the growing debate across Ireland – and indeed within the Irish Community and labour movement in Britain – about what a new 32 county Ireland should look like, and seek to be part of this conversation,” states LFIU Chair Nadine Finch.
This means not seeking ways to strengthen Northern Ireland’s links with the UK, but rather asking how we can help the realisation of an emerging vision of a new Ireland, at peace with itself.”
“Labour for Irish Unity is a Labour Movement organisation open to members of trade unions, the Labour Party and Irish organisations. We work in solidarity with those seeking self-determination for the island of Ireland and in opposition to the many human rights abuses that have and do occur in the North of Ireland. We look forward to seeing many of your paper’s readers at our meeting.”
