Labour Hub is supporting the launch of the Labour Left Podcast and the publication of its first long-form interviewYou can watch the podcast on You Tube here  and we have also submitted the podcast to all your favourite platforms. The link to Spotify is here .

The trial episode, about the history of Brighton Labour Briefing, proved to be controversial.  John McDonnell MP welcomed the podcast as a “really great grass roots initiative.” Thanks, John.

One response to John McDonnell, when he invited people to listen to the podcast, stated very clearly that he “would rather put [his] right arm in a meat mincer!”

Graham Bash, a former editor of Labour Briefing, exercised his right of reply to our views on the pages of Labour Hub and you can read his response here  The debate between us is in effect an argument about the very essence of the old Labour Briefing tradition. You can judge whether you think he has left his political heritage behind.

The Labour Party Conference edition of the Labour Left Podcast is a long-form interview with the Labour Hub contributor and former Labour National Executive Committee member Liz Davies.

Liz talks about her experience as a dissenter in Blair’s New Labour drawing on her excellent book Through the Looking Glass, A Dissenter inside New Labour.
